There are no major technical trails in the immediate vicinity of Melbourne with the You Yangs and Lysterfield being the major MTB parks close to town. Having said that, there are a number of trail areas fairly close to town that can be used for training and general recreational use.

Westgate Park is located under the Westgate Bridge in Fishermens Bend, the Grunge Gully ride in Maribyrnong, the Yarra Trails extend from the Ivanhoe area for quite some distance to the north east of the city and Warburton is located on the north eastern outskirts of Melbourne. I have only documented Westgate Park, Grunge Gully and Warburton to date but I have provided links to information on the Yarra Trails. There are other trails around the city which I have to investigate further before including them on the web site.

I have kept the You Yangs and Lysterfield Park in their own sections on the website due to their size.

In addition to these trails, there are a quite a number of skate parks and jumps parks which are great for the repetitive development of skills such as jumping, weighting and unweighting, berms and large step ups and drop offs.
